Landing Pages: Why do I need one and how will it benefit me?

Let’s start off by briefly identifying what is a landing page. A landing page is the first page  you introduce to a user in your target scope. In a nutshell a landing page is made for a very specific audience, with one very specific conversion goal which is to receive and convert traffic from an online marketing campaign. Therefore if you need a landing page always keep in mind this is one page with  one purpose.  Landing page is very useful because it can capture the target contact information using a lead-capture form, where visitors can enter details like their name, email address, and job title.

The difference between a  landing page and a web page is that the web-page will  provide decision paralysis, meaning users have the capability to  select from different options due to all the information that was given to them and browse throughout the site. As for a landing page, it will focus on one purpose only and will not provide any alternative such as  navigation links etc.

Here are some of the ways you can use a landing page to start a relationship with your future customers:

  • Email Newsletter Subscriptions
  • Ebooks and whitepapers
  • Online Course Enrollment
  • Event Registration
  • Free Trial of a Product
  • Community Membership
  • App Download

Questions to ask yourself to determine if a landing page is ideal for you or not

  • First knowing the purpose – Is your goal is to  increase lead, get sales or get clients?
  • Do you want to convert your traffic( basically converting the traffic to lead or sale)?
  • Simplicity is key , do you want to focus on one purpose to get your visitor convert or  provide them will additional information for them to browse the page?
  • Do you want to quickly create multiple versions of your landing page to attract and convert traffic?

Benefits of creating a landing page

  • converting a lead into a paying customer
  • Market your brand  to landing pages
  • can help accomplish your goal at each stage of the purchase process
  • Avoid decision paralysis
  • More affordable to create  than a website
  • Ability to create multiple versions for A/B Testing
