Have you been getting a lot of website traffic ? If yes, based on your website traffic data how many request your service and pay for your service?

Its always  great to own a website or a landing page , but you also need to invest more time and effort to convert your visitors to  real time customers. Today I will be focusing on ways you can convert a visitor to a real time customer and start  generating more from it.

Lead generation is very essential because it enables your business and your business’ website to create enormous traffic and generate more sales and higher conversion rates. However to generate leads and increase your conversion rate you first have to understand the main two types of conversions . The two main types of conversions are prospect to lead and lead to customers.

Prospect to lead :  Is converting your website visitor into a possible lead. Basically when a visitor on your website or landing page,  signup for more information using your sign up form, newsletter etc. This approach is a form of conversion.

Lead to Customers: This is when a  lead visit your site, follow you on social media platforms, read your blogs or your email marketing ,and finally complete a successful transaction in the form of cash for your service or product.

Based on the above , your goal moving forward should be to always identify ways and niche to convert your followers and website visitors to become a solid lead instead of just focusing only on the web traffic.

Below are ways to increase to increase your web traffic and in turn convert  them to solid leads.

  • Know your audience –  Identifying your audience is the first approach when trying to generate leads. If you avoid this first step you will be fighting a losing battle  because you can’t successfully reach and sell to your ideal customer if you don’t know exactly who that is, so it’s important to research your audience and come up with a clear picture of who they are (age, gender, interest etc), where they are located, what they like to do or are interested in, how much money they might be willing to spend, what their lifestyle and personality is like, etc. 
  • Identify you promotional method – In order to generate leads you will first have to figure out a plan on how to  present your services or product to your potential target audience. The ways you can promote your  services / products is by getting an informational website , creating a landing page, blog, social media, networking, engage in speaking conference, offer customer referrals, Pay Per Click Advertising, Facebook Ads, Google Business Ads etc.
  • Collecting information – Once you identify your target audience and the promotional method to engage with your audience , then the next step is to determine how to collect  the audience information to keep them up to date with all your offers, discounts, tips, guides etc. This can be accomplished by creating a form on your website or landing page  to collect the visitor email address or telephone number. To encourage visitors to sign up you can offer some form of incentives like free gift card, free consultation session etc.
  • Leverage your social media to engage and generate more leads – This means that by all means if you are offering services or selling products by now you should have created a Facebook page, Twitter profile, LinkedIn company page, Pinterest account or a YouTube page to attract and engage your audience, then funnel them through your process to become leads. Also encourage your leads to share testimonials etc to show more social proof.
  • Offer free trials – Allow visitors the opportunity to test drive your services /products to make sure that they are willing to commit 100%. Please note  when offering free trials you can request credit card information so that you can start charging after the trial end but ensure that you set up a system that will notify them at least twice the trial version about to expire . Or you can avoid requesting credit card information to not turn away visitors but instead  setup a system to detect when the trial is about to expire and notify them the same way you would if there was a credit card.

 In a nutshell, once you identify your target audience and promotional method just make sure that you create a lot of opt-in opportunities and make them irresistible, make landing pages  and websites clear and easy to take action. Offer great and competitive offers.
